The Grandmothers' Village Project (GVP) is dedicated to creating sustainable, eco-friendly housing and community spaces for Elders of Color, centered on Indigenous knowledge, technologies, and values. Our mission is to address the unique struggles of these elders, including inadequate housing, food insecurity, and limited healthcare resources, while promoting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Our flagship initiative, the Take the Land Back, seeks to acquire land for the Wisdom Tree Village—an intentional, net-zero, eco-sustainable community that will provide housing, a regenerative farm, an educational retreat center, and healthcare services for elders. This project will offer a safe and nurturing space for elders to thrive, rooted in cultural heritage and environmental stewardship.
